Optolock (SMI) POF Switch Hub for Ethernet

The FEPCI-XXX is 32bits PCI to 100Base-FX POF (Plastic Optical Fiber) converter. The FEPCI-XXX includes 32bits PCI bus golden finger and Optolock or SMI POF transceivers. It supports full-duplex and high-speed data transmission in POF interface. LED indicators are used to display power status of converter, link/ active status of FX port and link/ active status of POF port. This product is really plug-and-play and requires no additional settings. The FEPCI-XXX series are fully compatible for IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet data communication standard. This solution is designed for use in a variety of applications including workstation NICs, PC motherboards, and other systems utilizing a PCI bus that require network connectivity to Fast Ethernet LAN. It also supports features for use in "Green PCS" or systems where control over system power consumption is desired. The FEPCI-XXX supports several power down states, and the ability to issue a system "wake event" via reception of unique, user defined Ethernet frames. In addition, the FEPCI-XXX can assert a wake event in response to changes in the Ethernet link status
